Job summary

Esperance Senior High School seeks a Student Support Officer to join our Student Services team. This role focuses on student wellbeing, attendance and engagement, event coordination, student leadership development and daily administration.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for students seeking support, building positive relationships and connecting them with appropriate staff and services.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or visa with work rights for term of appointment.
• Must obtain Working With Children Check before start; Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Screening Clearance Number required.

Responsibilities

• Provide student wellbeing support, attendance and engagement work.
• Coordinate events and support student leadership development.
• Maintain confidential student records and administer Student Services processes.
• Collaborate with school staff and external services to support student needs.
• Promote a positive school culture through wellbeing initiatives and lunchtime activities.
