Job summary

Chisholm Institute of TAFE in Dandenong is seeking a proactive Student Success Officer to support student engagement, belonging, retention and course completion. This full-time fixed-term role runs to 31 December 2029 and offers a competitive salary plus superannuation.

You will deliver success coaching, proactive outreach, workshops and events, and work with teaching areas and Student Support teams to boost outcomes across campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in student services, education or community engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse student groups.
• Experience delivering workshops, coaching or support programs.
• Excellent organisational and multi-initiative coordination abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify student needs and provide practical support.
• Proficiency with communication and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver student success, engagement, retention, and transition programs.
• Provide one-on-one Success Coaching to help students reach goals.
• Conduct proactive outreach to re-engage at-risk students.
• Deliver workshops, presentations, events, and engagement activities.
• Collaborate with teaching areas and Student Support teams to improve outcomes.
• Monitor participation and outcomes; provide reports for continuous improvement.
• Support student leadership and belonging initiatives.
