Chisholm Institute of TAFE – Dandenong VIC is seeking a proactive Student Success Officer to support student engagement, belonging, retention, and course completion on a full-time fixed-term basis until 31 December 2029.

You will deliver success coaching, outreach, workshops, and events, coordinating with teaching areas and Student Support to improve outcomes across campuses.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency using communication and data management systems.

• Conduct proactive outreach to engage students at risk of disengagement.
• Deliver workshops, presentations, student events, and engagement activities; connect students with support services.
• Build partnerships with teaching departments and internal stakeholders to identify and respond to student needs.
• Coordinate communications and promotional activities relating to student services and programs.
• Monitor participation, engagement, and program outcomes; provide reports and insights for continuous improvement.
• Support student leadership and engagement initiatives that foster belonging and community connection.

Chisholm is seeking a proactive and student-focused Student Success Officer to play a key role in supporting student engagement, belonging, retention, and course completion. Full time, fixed term position until 31 December 2029. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Student Success Officer, you will support students through every stage of their learning journey, with a particular focus on transition, engagement, belonging, and retention. You will deliver direct support through success coaching, proactive outreach, workshops, presentations, and events, helping students access the services and opportunities they need to thrive.

You will also work closely with teaching areas, Student Support teams, and internal stakeholders to coordinate and deliver initiatives that improve student outcomes across multiple campuses.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and deliver student success, engagement, retention, and transition programs and activities.
• Provide one-on-one Success Coaching to support students in achieving their study goals.
• Conduct proactive outreach to engage students who may be at risk of disengagement.
• Deliver workshops, presentations, student events, and engagement activities.
  Connect students with appropriate support services and resources.
• Build strong partnerships with teaching departments and internal stakeholders to identify and respond to student needs.
• Coordinate communications and promotional activities relating to student services and programs.
• Monitor participation, engagement, and program outcomes, providing reports and insights to support continuous improvement.
• Support student leadership and engagement initiatives that foster belonging and community connection.

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with-

• Experience in student services, education, community engagement, wellbeing, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse student groups.
• Experience delivering workshops, presentations, coaching, or support programs.
  Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to identify student needs and provide practical, student-centred support.
• Confidence using communication and data management systems

Qualifications required for the role:

• A relevant qualification in education related services and/or extensive experience in a relevant role, including Program design, Community Services, or Education
