Job summary

Torrens University Australia is seeking a Student Services Advisor to deliver a high-quality campus experience for new and existing students at Brisbane. You will be the first point of contact, guiding students through admissions, enrolment, timetables and student services with empathy and accuracy.

This role suits someone who thrives in a busy, target-driven environment and enjoys turning complex questions into positive student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • At least two years' experience in a front-of-house, customer service or customer experience role.
  • A proven commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred or customer-focused service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to build effective relationships across teams and work collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
  • The ability to organise, prioritise and work autonomously in a target- and KPI-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a welcoming first point of contact for students attending campus with questions or concerns.
  • Manage student enquiries from beginning to end, meeting service standards and agreed timeframes.
  • Resolve enquiries relating to system access, subject selection, enrolment, timetables, student finance and progression.
  • Provide accurate support for admissions, transcripts, statements of attainment and academic administration processes.
  • Support international students with enrolment compliance and visa or Confirmation of Enrolment enquiries, within role boundaries.
  • Work closely with Faculty, Learning Services, Technology Support, Student Records, Academic Administration and Student Finance teams.
  • Escalate complex matters appropriately while remaining a consistent point of contact until resolution.
  • Assist students to resolve informal complaints and contribute to improved satisfaction, effort and advocacy scores.
  • Identify opportunities to use student feedback and voice-of-customer insights to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings, orientation, information sessions and campus events as required.

As a Student Services Advisor, you'll play a key role in delivering a consistent, high-quality campus experience for new and existing students. You'll take ownership of enquiries from start to finish, working with teams across Torrens University to provide clear information, resolve issues and help students progress confidently through their studies.

What You'll Do

  • Understanding of student administration, academic processes or international student compliance requirements
