Job summary

MidCoast Council invites applications for a Student Planner to join the Land Use Planning or Development Assessment Team. You will contribute to development assessment duties while learning and earning, with an education package of $10,000 to assist in completing a planning qualification.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Town Planning or Urban and Regional Planning course at an Australian University or the ability to enrol by January 2027.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic studies and workplace learning.
• Positive, collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to interactions between Council, stakeholders and the community.
• Undertake development assessment duties within the Development Assessment Team.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of planning projects, policies, strategies and plans within the Land Use Planning Team.
