About This Opportunity

Looking for a tree change and a role where you can build genuine connections within a friendly campus community? Join the Faculty of Science student enquiries team at UQ’s welcoming Gatton Campus, where people know one another, relationships matter and service is personal rather than transactional.

In this varied role, you will help create a positive student experience by providing friendly, accurate and informative advice to students and staff, completing a broad range of student and academic administration activities, and resolving day-to-day enquiries with care and sound judgement.

This role provides the opportunity to enjoy more of what matters outside work while building a rewarding career at UQ Gatton, where a unique blend of rural lifestyle, supportive community and world-class education and research facilities creates an exceptional place to live and work. You will be part of a collaborative and inclusive team that values each person’s contribution and works together to help students navigate their university journey with confidence.

  • Processing a broad range of student administration activities including admissions, progression, examinations, enrolments, study abroad matters and other academic administration functions.
  • Supporting academic administration activities including course profile updates, timetabling, examination preparation, grade processing and system maintenance.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing procedures, maintaining data integrity and supporting the accuracy of information across University systems, websites and publications.
About You
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
  • Experience in administration, with the ability to quickly develop knowledge of student and academic administration processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across a large organisation.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

Experience in a tertiary education environment and knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Office, CRM platforms and student administration systems would be desirable.
