Job summary

Bowness Stud & Watershed Farm, near Young NSW, is seeking experienced horse handlers for immediate start to prepare yearlings for sales. Responsibilities include walking, standing for sale parades, grooming, feeding, and general stable care.

2nd and 3rd year WHV eligibility is available; accommodation and an enjoyable team environment are provided. Applicants should have experience with young thoroughbreds, a valid driver's licence, and be prepared for a 4–6 month engagement including the

Qualifications

• Experience handling young thoroughbreds, ideally in a racing stable or stud environment.
• Reliable and hardworking, with good team orientation.
• Able to provide references.
• Must have a driver's licence.
• Willing to work 4 to 6 months including the Christmas and New Year period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare yearlings for upcoming sales, including teaching them to walk out and stand for sale parades.
• Grooming, washing, feeding, administering medications, cleaning yards and stables, and general horse care.
• Work rostered days during the Christmas/New Year holiday period.
