Job summary

WSP in Australia is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to lead design, delivery and tender phases for major building projects in Australia. You will ensure timely, quality structural work aligned with budget, schedule and client expectations, while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires 5–8 years of Australian building project experience, a Civil/Structural degree, and eligibility for Australian Defence full security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor to Masters’ level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5–8 years of industry experience on building projects in Australia (commercial/retail/defence/health/education).
• Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance is essential (Australian Citizens only).
• Solid proficiency in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete.
• Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged turnkey projects.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of project and structural engineering work to standards, schedules and budgets.
• Maintain strong communication and relationships with local clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and coordinate with internal and national disciplines.
• Collaborate with a national, multidisciplinary engineering team.
