Job summary

WSP Adelaide is seeking an experienced Associate Engineer to join our Building Structures team on Defence and national projects. You will lead multidisciplinary design, oversee delivery, and drive client relationships while mentoring junior staff.

A hybrid work model supports flexible collaboration with national teams. The role requires Chartered status (CPEng), 10+ years of Australian consultancy experience, and eligibility for defence security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor to Masters’ level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of structural engineering consultancy experience in Australia.
• Chartered (CPEng) status with Australian registration.
• Eligibility for Australian Defence security clearance – only Australian Citizens.
• Strong leadership and client relationship skills.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and quality delivery for project and structural engineering work in alignment with standards and budgets.
• Lead design, delivery and tender phases for turnkey projects.
• Mentor and develop engineers and contribute to team growth.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities.
