Job summary

Cookson and Roberts is seeking a technically strong Senior Structural Engineer to lead a range of medium-sized projects and manage the technical quality and support in the team. The role offers a clear path to equity within a growing NSW consultancy.

You will be empowered to guide junior engineers, apply your Australian market knowledge, and deliver high-value structural solutions across health, education, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience in Building Structural Design in Australia.
• Experience with Microstran, SPACE GASS, SAP2000, ETABS and RAPT.
• Degree in Civil Engineering - preferably chartered or close to chartership.
• Confident in written and verbal communication to manage projects and internal team.
• Technically confident engineer who can lead and guide others to ensure quality work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a range of medium-sized projects and manage technical quality.
• Provide technical support to the team and mentoring.
• Drive project execution with strong design delivery.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer who is looking to step up into a 2IC position, to lead a range of medium sized projects and manage the technical quality and support in the team.

You could be a confident Senior Engineer looking to step up or an experienced Associate/Principal pigeonholed in the bureaucracy of a larger organisation.

To be considered:

• A Building Structural Design Engineer with at least 7 years of industry experience - knowledge and experience in the Australian market is preferred
• Experience using a range of design software's such as Microstran, SPACE GASS, SAP2000, ETABS and RAPT
• Degree in Civil Engineering - preferably be chartered or close to gaining chartership
• Confident in both written and verbal communication to manage your projects and internal team.
• You will be a technically confident engineer, able to lead and guide others to ensure quality work every time.
