South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. in Queensland seeks an Engineer Structural to ensure structures are stable, compliant and fit for purpose across new projects, upgrades and remedial works. The role involves developing designs, conducting site inspections, and preparing technical reports.

Qualifications include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and RPEQ registration. FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane on an 8/6 day shift pattern is offered, with a focus on safety and integrity of assets.

Qualifications

• Structural engineering experience within an operating asset.
• Relevant field, industry or organisational experience.
• Knowledge of current occupational health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings, deliver presentations and facilitate workshops.

Responsabilités

• Develop designs and calculations for steel, concrete, timber and other systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and identify issues.
• Assess existing structures and recommend repair, strengthening or replacement.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, project records and technical reports.
