Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. in Australia seeks a Structural Engineer for a permanent role with an 8/6 day shift FIFO roster from Townsville or Brisbane.

You will develop steel, concrete, and other structural designs, conduct site inspections, assess and repair structures, and produce drawings, specifications and reports. Requires Civil or Structural Engineering qualification and RPEQ.

Qualifications

• Structural engineering experience within an operating asset.
• Knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings, deliver presentations and facilitate workshops.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and calculations for steel, concrete, timber and other systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and identify issues.
• Assess existing structures and recommend repair, strengthening or replacement.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, project records and technical reports.
