South32 is seeking a Structural Engineer for its Cannington operation in northwest Queensland. This permanent role offers an 8/6, day shift, FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane. You will ensure structures are stable, compliant, and fit for purpose on new projects, upgrades and remedial works.

Qualificações

• Structural engineering experience within an operating asset.
• Knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings, deliver presentations and facilitate workshops.

Responsabilidades

• Develop designs and calculations for steel, concrete, timber and other systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and identify issues.
• Assess existing structures and recommend repair, strengthening or replacement.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, project records and technical reports.
