Job summary

PLS Group is seeking a civil/structural engineer for a casual, 2/1 FIFO role to support the P2000 Project in the Pilbara region. You will coordinate and oversee structural concrete and other civil works, ensuring quality, safety and regulatory compliance on site.

You will manage day-to-day project engineering, verify readiness, review IFC docs, and coordinate with the design authority and site teams. This role requires extensive site delivery experience and strong leadership in a remote mining

Qualifications

• Civil/structural engineering degree with 10+ years site delivery experience.
• Experience delivering civil/structural packages on mining, processing or heavy industrial projects, including concrete pours and geotechnical/drainage.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, concrete, foundations, structural steel, and project controls documentation (IFC, RFIs, field changes, ITPs, NCRs).
• Excellent communication, commercial awareness, problem solving and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project engineering for P2000 civil and structural work packages, from site readiness through to completion and handover.
• Verify construction readiness and monitor execution against drawings, specs, methodology, schedule and quality requirements; manage survey, set-out, tolerances, inspections, testing, punch lists and turnover.
• Provide timely field engineering support by reviewing IFC drawings and coordinating design queries with the design authority and site team.
• Coordinate earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel, access structures, roads and drainage; interface with other disciplines and meet standards.
• Track progress, quantities and productivity; support procurement, subcontract administration, variation assessments and cost forecasting; communicate with site leaders and contractors.
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership, stop work when unsafe, promote One Team culture, mentor site engineers and capture lessons learned.
