Job summary

TTW, an Australian-owned engineering firm, invites expressions of interest from Civil Engineers to join our growing Sydney team. This role offers the chance to contribute across public and private sector projects nationwide while working with experienced professionals to advance your technical expertise and career.

You will prepare and manage civil documentation, coordinate with clients and authorities, and develop innovative civil designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years from a consulting, contractor, or developer environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications or chartership are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage civil documentation packages, ensuring quality and timely delivery within budget.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, design teams and authorities to resolve design issues.
• Apply holistic civil design understanding to meet project objectives.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Produce high-quality designs, documentation, specifications and reports.
• Prepare tender responses, defining scope and pricing for small to medium projects.
• Grow skills in staff and client management, risk mitigation, and project financials.

In this role, you will

• Prepare and manage civil documentation packages, ensuring quality, compliance with relevant standards, and timely delivery within budget.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, the broader design team, and authorities to resolve design issues and integrate civil works with other disciplines.
• Apply a holistic understanding of civil design to meet key project objectives.
• Use your initiative and technical knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Produce high-quality designs, documentation, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare tender responses, including defining scope and pricing for small to medium complexity civil projects.
• Grow your skills in staff and client management, risk mitigation, project and financial management.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a consulting, contractor, or developer environment, with experience in high-rise or multi-storeybuilding projects highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater, roads, pavements, retaining walls, and water & sewer infrastructure design.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work on time and within budget.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications or chartership (or working towards them) are advantageous.
