Job summary

Brisbane City Council is seeking a Team Manager, Strategy Development and Governance to guide the creation, delivery and monitoring of city-wide strategies. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for sophisticated modelling, forecasting and analytics that inform long-term planning and investment decisions.

Based in Brisbane, you will engage senior stakeholders, drive evidence-based decisions and collaborate across the City Strategy and Policy Branch to shape the city's future.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in leading enterprise and city-shaping strategies within large, complex environments.
• Experience in strategy development, governance design and lifecycle implementation.
• Ability to provide authoritative, high-quality professional advice to senior leaders.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, delivery and monitoring of Council-wide strategies and external plans.
• Oversee urban growth models, forecasting tools and information systems for land use and infrastructure planning.
• Provide strategic leadership and trusted advice to senior stakeholders.
• Foster innovation, continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.
• Manage cross-disciplinary projects and a multidisciplinary project team.
