Job summary

McMillan Shakespeare Group in Melbourne seeks a Workforce Planning and Optimisation Manager to lead the workforce planning across Maxxia and RemServ. You will drive data-driven decision making, forecasting, scheduling and optimisation to ensure capacity aligns with demand and service commitments.

This senior role requires strong leadership, hands-on capability with WFM systems and BI reporting, and the ability to uplift WFM maturity while coaching a team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience uplifting WFM maturity.
• Experience leading workforce planning teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Ability to drive change across large teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning across Maxxia and RemServ Operations, aligning strategies to priorities and demand.
• Establish workforce planning governance, standards and decision-making frameworks.
• Develop and coach the workforce planning team, building capability in forecasting, planning, optimisation and business improvement.
• Own workforce planning outcomes, including service levels, efficiency, capacity and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure forecasting, scheduling and optimisation activities support operational requirements and growth.
• Review workforce trends and risks, driving actions to improve productivity and customer outcomes.
• Lead workforce planning maturity through improved processes and systems.
• Own workforce reporting, insights and performance frameworks for leadership decisions.
• Oversee workforce budgets, FTE glidepaths and capacity planning for sustainable growth.
