Job summary

Alpha Omega Management Consulting in Sydney seeks a Senior Accountant to join our growing care-sector practice. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will deliver accurate statutory financial reporting and drive improvements in processes and controls.

The ideal candidate has a tertiary accounting degree, CPA/CA designation, and at least 5 years of professional experience, with strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and GST.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in professional or corporate accounting.
• Experience with AASB standards and GST.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team and day-to-day finance operations.
• Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and cost centre statements.
• Coordinate annual audits and statutory reports (QFR & ACFR).
• Manage budgets, forecasts and unit costing.
• Oversee invoicing, accounts payable and general journals.
• Provide financial guidance to unit managers and build budget capability.
• Maintain internal controls and report key finance KPIs monthly.
