Harris Fields State School is seeking an organised, proactive and collaborative Business Manager to join our leadership team in Woodridge. This pivotal role supports the school’s operations by managing human, financial and physical resources while fostering positive relationships with staff, families and the community.

The successful candidate will oversee administrative services, financial management and facilities, contributing to a safe, respectful and high-performing school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering business and administrative services in a school or similar environment.
• Ability to prepare reports and correspondence and research issues.
• Experience supervising school support staff, including rostering, timesheets and relief, recruitment, induction and training.
• Experience with financial and budget management, payroll and purchasing processes.
• Overseeing facilities, grounds, resources and equipment and coordinating contractor work.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver a broad range of business and administrative services to the school and adapt processes to changing requirements.
• Provide high-level administrative support, including reports and correspondence and researching issues.
• Coordinate and supervise school support staff, monitor workloads, timesheets, leave, rosters and relief, and assist with recruitment and training.
• Assist the Principal with financial, budget, payroll and purchasing management, and prepare financial reports in line with policy.
• Oversee facilities and resources, coordinate contractor arrangements, and maintain positive relationships with staff and community.
