Job summary

City of Ryde is seeking an experienced risk professional to strengthen its strategic risk management capability and embed a risk-aware culture across the organisation. You will collaborate with leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could affect Council objectives, and you will implement the Risk Management Framework and oversee the Fraud and Corruption Control Program.

The role offers an enterprise-wide perspective with exposure to governance, compliance, and operational risk,

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in risk management, business, or related discipline.
Experience supporting enterprise risk frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; excellent communication.
Knowledge of legislation, governance requirements and Australian standards.
Experience in insurance, claims management, control assurance, fraud and corruption prevention is valued.

Responsibilities

Strengthen City of Ryde’s strategic risk management capability.
Identify, assess and mitigate risks across the organisation.
Develop and implement the Risk Management Framework and risk register in new software.
Oversee Fraud and Corruption Control Program.
