Job summary

NSW Trustee and Guardian is seeking a strategic Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance to lead governance, risk, compliance and integrity across a large public sector organisation. Reporting to the Director, Legal, Governance and Risk, you will strengthen organisational resilience and accountability while driving contemporary risk practices that support performance and public confidence.

This senior leadership role is based in Sydney with hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support delivery

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise risk, governance and compliance functions.
• Knowledge of public sector governance frameworks and obligations.
• Membership of RMIA or commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the enterprise risk management, compliance and integrity frameworks.
• Provide trusted strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders.
• Drive the implementation of contemporary risk, governance and assurance practices.
• Oversee fraud and corruption prevention, ethics, integrity and compliance programs.
• Monitor emerging risks and regulatory changes, ensuring readiness and response.
• Deliver insights through governance reporting, risk analytics and performance monitoring.
• Build internal and external partnerships to strengthen capability and accountability.
• Foster a proactive risk culture that empowers teams to manage risk.
