Job summary

ADA Australia is seeking a Risk, Compliance & Safety Advisor to strengthen enterprise risk management, governance and WHS across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders and provide practical advice to lift our risk and compliance practices.

Based in Brisbane with hybrid work options, the role offers autonomy, exposure to governance forums and the chance to make a tangible impact in a not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or professional certification in enterprise risk, compliance, governance or WHS.
• Experience developing, implementing, reviewing or improving risk, compliance or WHS management systems.
• Sound knowledge of risk management, compliance, WHS legislation and psychosocial hazard requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen our enterprise risk management framework and organisational risk register.
• Monitor compliance obligations, emerging risks and regulatory developments.
• Coordinate risk assessments, compliance reviews, audits, assurance activities and corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve WHS systems and advise on safety matters, including psychosocial hazards.
• Coordinate WHS audits, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Prepare clear reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leaders, the Board and committees.
