Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Advisor Risk & Assurance to join our Perth Head Office on a permanent full-time basis. You will lead the development and enhancement of enterprise risk management and assurance frameworks, partnering with senior leaders to strengthen governance and decision-making across our mining business.

You will facilitate risk workshops, monitor material and emerging risks, and drive reporting that informs strategy and performance.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Business, Commerce, Engineering, Safety or related discipline.
• Significant experience in risk management, assurance, governance or critical risk management.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks, assurance methodologies and governance principles.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to influence outcomes and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Experience within mining, resources or highly regulated industry.
• Strong capability in reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Westgold's Risk Management Framework.
• Facilitate risk assessments, workshops and reviews across operational and corporate functions.
• Monitor material risks, emerging risks and key control performance.
• Coordinate and support integrated assurance and verification activities.
• Develop meaningful risk reporting, key risk indicators and management insights.
• Provide practical risk advice to support operational, project and strategic decision-making.
• Support executive and board reporting requirements.
• Build organisational capability through coaching, training and stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, regulators and assurance providers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance risk and assurance performance across the business.
