Aegis Risk Management Services is seeking an experienced Account Manager - Return-to-Work Coordinator to manage an established client portfolio. You will coordinate injury management and return-to-work services to support safe, timely, and sustainable recovery outcomes, working with workers, employers, insurers, and practitioners.

You will act as the coordination point across early intervention through to resolution, with travel interstate and regionally.

• Experience in return to work, injury management, occupational rehabilitation, or Workers’ Compensation.
• Strong understanding of Workers’ Compensation claims processes and return-to-work principles.
• Experience liaising with insurers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and employers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and complex stakeholder relationships.

• Preparing client reports outlining claim status, strategy, and performance outcomes.
• Supporting clients with practical guidance around Workers’ Compensation and return-to-work obligations.
• Escalating complex or high-risk matters where required.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring legislative and insurer compliance.
• Assisting with broader account management and Workers’ Compensation program initiatives over time.

Account Manager - Return-to-Work Coordinator

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and people-focused injury management professional to join Aegis Risk Management Services.

This is a national role supporting an established portfolio of clients across multiple jurisdictions. It would suit someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, coordinating return-to-work and injury management matters, and working proactively with employers, workers, insurers and treating practitioners to achieve positive outcomes.

The role also provides exposure to broader Workers’ Compensation program management and forms part of the Aegis Account Manager development pathway.

About the Role

Managing an established portfolio of clients, you will coordinate injury management and return-to-work services designed to support safe, timely, and sustainable recovery outcomes while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Acting as the key coordination point between injured workers, employers, insurers, treating practitioners, and rehabilitation providers, you will proactively manage claims and return-to-work processes from early intervention through to resolution

The role includes some interstate and regional travel.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing return-to-work and injury management services across a portfolio of clients

Coordinating early intervention, claims triage, and injury management strategies

Developing and maintaining compliant Return-to-Work Plans

Liaising with injured workers, employers, insurers, treating practitioners, and occupational rehabilitation providers

Monitoring claims progression, liability decisions, reimbursement processes, and return-to-work barriers

Coordinating suitable duties programs and graduated return-to-work strategies

Preparing client reports outlining claim status, strategy, and performance outcomes

About You

You will bring:

Experience in return to work, injury management, occupational rehabilitation, or Workers’ Compensation

Strong understanding of Workers’ Compensation claims processes and return-to-work principles

Experience liaising with insurers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and employers

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach

Ability to manage competing priorities and complex stakeholder relationships

Confidence managing sensitive conversations and escalating risks appropriately

Strong administrative, coordination, and reporting capability

A genuine passion for helping people achieve positive recovery and return-to-work outcomes

Relevant qualifications in injury management, health, safety, HR, allied health, or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
