Job summary

Sharp and Carter is partnering with a highly successful national retailer to recruit a Senior Retail Performance Analyst in Melbourne. The role collaborates with executive and retail leadership to identify performance opportunities, optimise labour investment, and improve store profitability across a multi-site network.

You will deliver executive-level insights, support forecasting and demand planning, and lead offshore analytics support when required.

Qualifications

• Retail industry experience is essential.
• Expertise in labour analytics, workforce planning, rostering analytics or labour productivity optimisation.
• Experience supporting large multi-site retail operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate data into business outcomes.
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Power BI or Tableau.
• Outstanding stakeholder management with executive collaboration.
• Proactive, commercially minded with confidence to challenge thinking.

Responsibilities

• Analyse sales, labour and store performance trends across a large retail network.
• Identify opportunities to improve labour productivity and wages-to-sales.
• Provide actionable recommendations to optimise rostering and workforce allocation.
• Deliver executive-level reporting and commercial insights.
• Monitor and evaluate major promotions and trading events.
• Collaborate with retail leaders to improve store performance.
• Support labour modelling, forecasting and demand planning.
• Coordinate offshore analytics support when required.
