Sharp and Carter is partnering with a highly successful national retailer to recruit a Senior Retail Performance Analyst in Melbourne. The role collaborates with executive and retail leadership to identify performance opportunities, optimise labour investment, and improve store profitability across a multi-site network.

You will deliver executive-level insights, support forecasting and demand planning, and lead offshore analytics support when required.

Competenze

• Retail industry experience is essential.

Operating a large multi-site store network across Australia, this business is focused on enhancing sales performance, labour productivity, and operational efficiency through data-driven decision making. Reporting directly to a senior executive leader, this is a highly visible role where your insights will influence strategy, challenge the status quo, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a reporting position. As the Senior Retail Performance Analyst, you will partner closely with executive and retail leadership teams to identify performance opportunities, optimise labour investment, and improve store profitability across a national multi-site store network.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyse sales, labour and store performance trends across a large retail network
• Identify opportunities to improve labour productivity and wages-to-sales performance
• Provide actionable recommendations to optimise rostering and workforce allocation
• Deliver executive-level reporting and commercial insights
• Monitor and evaluate major promotional and trading events
• Partner with retail leaders to drive store-level performance improvements
• Support labour modelling, forecasting and demand planning initiatives
• Lead and coordinate offshore analytics support resources where required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Retail industry experience is essential
• Demonstrated expertise in labour analytics, workforce planning, labour modelling, rostering analytics or labour productivity optimisation
• Experience supporting large multi-site retail operations
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business outcomes
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Power BI, Tableau or similar BI platforms
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills with experience influencing operational and executive leaders
• A proactive, commercially minded approach and the confidence to challenge thinking where required
