Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to join a well‑established national organisation in Sydney. You will partner with Operations and key stakeholders to translate financial and operational data into insights that drive profitability and better decision‑making, with a strong mix of business partnering, modelling, forecasting and process improvement.

Qualifications

6+ years' experience in commercial finance or FP&A.
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent preferred.
Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Advanced Excel with Power Query.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Partner with operational leaders to understand performance drivers and identify commercial opportunities.
Analyse revenue, costs and profitability across a national branch network.
Develop financial models and business cases to support operational and strategic decisions.
Own budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying key risks and opportunities.
Deliver insightful weekly and monthly reporting, dashboards and KPI analysis.
Evaluate commercial initiatives, track benefits and assess financial outcomes.
Analyse commission structures and provide recommendations to improve performance.
Review commercial agreements and assess financial implications and risks.
Drive improvements in reporting, automation and financial processes.
