Job summary

Colonial First State, Sydney, is seeking a Senior Manager Regulatory Engagement and Advisory to lead regulatory engagement with APRA/ASIC and oversee advisory functions within the Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance unit.

You will develop frameworks, coordinate responses to inquiries, and provide expert guidance to executives, ensuring timely, transparent regulatory outcomes while upholding integrity and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Law, Finance, Public Policy or Compliance.
• Experience in regulatory affairs, risk/compliance in wealth management.
• Ability to manage stakeholders across levels in a high-paced environment.
• Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy capabilities.
• High integrity, discretion and professional ethics.
• Collaborative leadership with a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the regulatory engagement framework and protocols.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain trusted relationships with regulators (APRA and ASIC).
• Assist in papers, submissions and briefs for regulatory proposals.
• Provide expert regulatory advice to senior leadership.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for Risk Committee and Board.
