Job summary

Australian Prudential Regulation Authority leads a high-performing Regulatory Affairs team, driving strategic collaboration with domestic and international peers, while setting direction and delivering objectives. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, you will coach your team and steward key stakeholder relationships to guide APRA’s regulatory priorities.

You will coordinate internal stakeholders, brief the executive leadership, and ensure robust external engagements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and change management skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to report to Boards and stakeholders.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation at senior levels.
• Professional qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Regulatory Affairs team and contribute to Division leadership.
• Drive strategic collaboration with domestic and international peers.
• Set strategic direction and deliver objectives; coach team.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and brief executive leadership.
• Maintain infrastructure and knowledge management for regulatory interactions.
• Lead engagement with APRA executives and senior staff to strengthen external relationships.
• Develop strategies to capture knowledge of external regulatory developments.
• Model inclusive leadership and an open culture within the team.
