Job summary

Colonial First State is seeking a senior Regulatory Affairs leader to guide a small team in managing regulatory engagements and maintaining strong, transparent relationships with APRA and ASIC. You will ensure timely responses to regulatory inquiries and support executives with regulatory expectations.

This role requires a background in Law, Finance, Public Policy, or Compliance, plus experience in wealth management regulatory affairs.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Law, Finance, Public Policy, Compliance or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in regulatory affairs, legal, risk and compliance within wealth management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• High integrity, discretion and professional ethics.
• Collaborative leadership with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the regulatory engagement framework and protocols.
• Lead a small team to coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and assessments.
• Serve as a liaison with regulators (APRA and ASIC) and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing papers, submissions and briefs for regulatory consultations.
• Provide expert advice to senior executives on regulatory expectations.
• Prepare high-quality reports for the Risk Committee, ELT and Boards.
