Job summary

Reason Group in Canberra is seeking a Project Manager to plan and deliver business and technology initiatives by coordinating people, scope, schedule, budget, risks and stakeholders. The role creates delivery clarity, resolves obstacles and maintains transparent governance from initiation to closure.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex business or technology projects.
• Strong planning, governance, financial management, risk management and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Experience working with government or regulated organisations is highly regarded.
• Relevant certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM or MSP is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities in a changing environment.
• A collaborative, respectful approach and willingness to support work beyond immediate responsibilities when needed.
• Commitment to quality, confidentiality, security, workplace policies and client compliance requirements.
• Curiosity about emerging technology and openness to using approved AI tools responsibly to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans and governance arrangements.
• Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, decisions and change controls.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes.
• Provide concise, accurate reporting and elevate material concerns with practical options.
• Manage project financials, procurement, records and contractual or compliance obligations.
• Support team performance through clear priorities, regular communication and timely decisions.
• Lead implementation, transition, benefits tracking, lessons learned and project closure.
