Job summary

Reason Group in Canberra is seeking a Manager-level Management Consultant with 5–7 years of experience to lead IT projects for Australian federal government clients. This hands-on role combines business analysis, strategy and advisory work, including governance, client engagement and delivering practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in management consulting or IT delivery.
• Experience delivering IT/digital projects for Australian federal government.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to lead workshops and manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT projects and workstreams, coordinating scope, schedules, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Maintain project governance, reporting and documentation, keeping stakeholders informed and decisions moving.
• Build effective relationships across business, technical and delivery teams.
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and analyse business processes.
• Prepare business cases, options papers, presentations and recommendations.
• Contribute to strategy, planning and advisory work with support from senior colleagues.
• Support change and implementation activities to help clients put solutions into practice.
• Take ownership of deliverables and mentor junior team members.
