Job summary

Bouygues Construction Australia is seeking a Project Director to provide strategic leadership and end-to-end delivery of a major construction project. Responsibilities

• Set the project's strategic direction, objectives, governance, and delivery priorities.
• Lead the project leadership team and establish clear accountability, decision-making, and reporting arrangements.
• Maintain senior-level relationships with the client, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee delivery against the approved scope, programme, budget, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Review project performance, forecasts, risks, opportunities, and recovery plans; intervene where corrective action is required.
• Lead the management of significant project risks, changes, claims, and commercial issues in coordination with the relevant leads.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives are integrated into project planning and delivery.
• Oversee the coordination of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Support the resolution of major technical, commercial, contractual, and stakeholder issues.
• Ensure effective project controls, reporting, document management, and assurance processes are in place.
• Provide clear and timely updates to executive leadership and the client on project status, decisions, and emerging issues.
• Lead project completion and handover planning, including readiness, close-out, and lessons learned.
