Job summary

BHP is recruiting for a Manager Small Projects Procurement to support the Copper SA Small Projects portfolio in Adelaide. You will lead a team responsible for contract strategies, tendering, award, planning, administration and close out of contracts. Relocation support is available if required.

You will drive risk-informed, value-focused contracting aligned with project execution strategies and stakeholder expectations, while delivering safe and efficient project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial and contract management roles in capital projects.
• Proven track record of contract negotiation and people leadership.
• Tertiary qualifications in Management, Economics, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Law.
• Strong business acumen with risk management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of contract strategies, tendering and award of contracts.
• Plan, administer and manage contracts, negotiate settlements and close out.
• Translate strategy into operational plans for the procurement function.
• Manage multiple stakeholder relationships across Procurement and Project Functions.
• Enable best-in-class contract formation and performance.
• Mitigate risk and maximise portfolio value through effective contracting.
