Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking a commercially minded Procurement Manager - Retail & Corporate to join the Strategic Procurement team in Sydney or Melbourne. You will lead planning, sourcing and delivery of strategic procurement activities across OPEX, production maintenance, Corporate Services and enterprise support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial management, or contract management within a corporate environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Procurement, Law, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Operational background or experience managing procurement across generalist/OPEX categories (operational maintenance, corporate services, marketing, facilities management) is highly regarded.
• Outstanding soft skills, approachability, patience, and clear communication with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop direct reports or project team members.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical, and negotiation skills with understanding of contract interpretation and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement leadership and strategy execution across corporate functions and production operations maintenance teams.
• Oversee end-to-end sourcing, RFQs, RFPs, RFTs, EOIs, tender packs, and market releases; drive negotiations for value for money and risk management across non-IT retail projects and corporate office needs.
• Own commercial performance of assigned portfolios and drive savings to meet the OPEX target; manage contract variations, extensions, and disputes.
• Provide direct leadership and mentoring to a Procurement Specialist; build capability and foster a collaborative environment.
• Serve as primary commercial contact for operational services, corporate services, facilities, fleet and fuel, travel, and site services; ensure policy compliance and drive process improvements.
