Job summary

Sekisui House Australia is seeking a proactive Senior Procurement Officer to lead supplier negotiations and drive our procurement strategy within NSW residential construction delivery. This hands-on, accountable role requires you to personally close negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors and trade partners to secure competitive pricing, terms and supply reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of cost savings or improved terms through commercial negotiations.
• Solid understanding of NSW home building/construction industry and contracts.
• Experience in tendering, supplier evaluation and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Personally lead and close negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors and trade partners to secure competitive pricing and supply continuity.
• Review, renegotiate and formalise expired supplier agreements across materials, trades and services.
• Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy aligned with construction programs and growth targets, including tendering and risk management practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, design, pre-construction, construction) to ensure seamless program delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with NSW suppliers and trades.
• Monitor market pricing, supply chain risks and compliance with regulations and contractual obligations.
• Mentor and develop the current Procurement Officer to foster continuity.
• Provide clear performance metrics, cost-savings tracking and supplier KPIs to leadership.
