Job summary

DRA Global is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer based in Perth to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with project delivery goals. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure efficient, compliant procurement activities that meet budget and schedule targets.

The role demands five-plus years in project-based procurement, strong negotiation and supplier-management skills, and proficiency with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement role in project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing methodologies, and contract negotiations.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and contract performance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for materials, equipment, and services.
• Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers and contractors based on quality, capability, cost, and project requirements.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms and delivery outcomes.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities, including administration, compliance, and renewals.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process from requisition through to delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement requirements and support project schedules.
• Monitor procurement expenditure and performance against budget targets.
• Manage supplier performance, quality assurance issues, and contractual obligations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and contract registers.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
