Australian Department of Social Services – Greenway ACT is inviting applications for a strategic policy role within the Strategy and Delivery Branch. You will work with policy teams across DSS and the APS to advance the department's impact agenda and build capability.

The successful candidate will lead policy projects, apply evidence, prepare influential written advice and deliver policy training programs, collaborating across the department and with government stakeholders, while coaching APS

Responsibilities

• lead components of strategic policy projects
• identify and apply evidence, research and data to support policy development and decision-making
• prepares high-quality and influential written advice, presentations, and new policy proposals
• contribute to the design and delivery of policy capability and training programs across DSS
• work collaboratively with policy, delivery, data and corporate teams across the department and represents our team at meetings
• build relationships with stakeholders across government and the APS
• supervise and coach APS staff
