Department of Employment and Workplace Relations in Canberra seeks SES Band 2 leaders to shape the department's direction and position it for the next phase. You will lead significant functions, translate emerging patterns and risks into decisive choices for senior decision-makers.

Beyond policy, you will drive system-wide change, build leadership depth, and foster partnerships across the APS and communities to deliver public value and impact. Candidate location flexibility is possible.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated executive leadership experience in complex environments.
• Strong strategic judgement and delivery capabilities.
• Executive leadership development or tertiary qualifications may be advantageous.

• Interpret external environment and identify strategic risks to position DEWR for future requirements.
• Shape policy and strategic choices for Ministers, the Secretary and Executive, with evidence and diverse perspectives.
• Create coherence across policy, delivery, regulation, people, resources, technology, data and partnerships.
• Turn strategy into outcomes at scale by building and leading a high-performing leadership cohort of SES and EL leaders.
• Lead transformation and build coalitions across the APS and jurisdictions to improve outcomes.
