Job summary

CPB Contractors, a CIMIC Group construction company, is seeking a seasoned Controls & Planning Manager to lead planning, scheduling and performance across major civil and infrastructure projects in Australia. You will partner with project and leadership teams to develop and maintain schedules, drive planning excellence, identify risks and opportunities, and support on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires strong Primavera, 4D planning, BIM and Earned Value experience, with leadership

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex, high-value projects within rail and civil construction (Tier 1 or 2).
• Strong planning background with Primavera scheduling expertise.
• Ability to lead collaborative development of complex programmes.
• Experience with 4D planning, BIM, Critical Path Methodology, and Earned Value Management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are designed and planned to maximise efficiency and minimise construction cost.
• Lead a professional planning team to high performance in establishing and managing project planning systems.
• Ensure project schedules are kept up to date with as-built data.
• Liaise with construction teams to understand construction operations.
• Manage the needs of the construction and Tender teams to deliver on budget.
• Regularly review planning processes in line with business requirements.
• Audit live projects to ensure procedures and objectives are realistic.
• Support Senior Leadership in scheduling analysis and solution proposals.
