Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a senior Planning & Scheduling leader to empower delivery teams with frameworks, standards, and rigorous scheduling practices for major infrastructure projects in NSW.

Reporting to the Head of Business Performance Delivery Hub, the role focuses on activity management, critical path analysis, and earned value to optimize sequencing and efficiency, with emphasis on governance and high standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in planning and scheduling for large infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to establish governance frameworks and uplift scheduling discipline.
• Relevant qualifications in project/program management, engineering, or technical discipline.

• Apply and continuously improve planning and scheduling frameworks, standards, and tools across all infrastructure delivery projects.
• Lead governance of scheduling discipline across complex programs and uplift performance.

Reporting to the Head of Business Performance Delivery Hub, the role empowers teams with frameworks, standards, and tools like Primavera P6 while driving activity management, critical path analysis, and earned value to optimize sequencing and efficiency. Extensive experience in Planning & Scheduling for large construction projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Candidates with experience limited to IT, finance, or banking will NOT meet the role criteria.
• Apply and continuously improve planning and scheduling frameworks, standards, and tools across all infrastructure delivery projects.
• To be successful in this role, you will bring: Relevant qualifications in project/program management, engineering, or a technical discipline, combined with business or management expertise.
