Job summary

UGL in Perth is seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to support a portfolio of Engineering Services Contracts in Western Australia. You will report to the P&C Lead and partner with Contract Managers and operational leaders to deliver strategic and operational people solutions.

This role will drive workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, organisational change, stakeholder engagement, and talent initiatives across WA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in HR or People & Culture BP roles.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Resources, Energy or similar ops.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building.
• Experience handling employee relations and performance management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and IR practices.
• Degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Contract Managers and operational leaders to deliver people initiatives aligned to business objectives.
• Provide expert advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
• Coach leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across multiple locations nationally.
• Support organisational change, workforce transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance on employment legislation, policies, and people practices.
• Contribute to strategic people projects and organisational outcomes.
