Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a payroll professional to manage end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly and weekly basis in a large corporate environment. You will interpret EBAs and awards, manage new hires and terminations, payroll tax, and related tasks.

Key responsibilities include reviewing weekly/monthly pay runs, maintaining records, resolving employee queries, and contributing to SOX compliance initiatives. Strong Excel and Dayforce/Workday experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Ability to interpret modern awards and EBAs.
• Strong Excel skills and data accuracy.
• Experience handling new hires, terminations, and rate changes.
• Ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly to employees.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit weekly and monthly pay runs.
• Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, rate changes and deductions.
• Investigate and resolve payroll queries from employees.
• Support SOX compliance and ad hoc improvement projects.
