Job summary

CHU Underwriting Agencies in Sydney seeks an experienced Senior Claims Manager to lead national major loss operations and deliver concierge-level service. You will work closely with Claims Team Leaders and Senior Leaders, reporting to the Head of Claims, driving strategic initiatives and maintaining market-leading standards.

You will bring extensive general insurance experience, strong leadership across dispersed teams and excellent negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive general insurance and complex/catastrophe claims experience.
• Strong leadership across dispersed teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead national major loss operations and ensure KPI delivery.
• Oversee claims management, triage and SLA performance; provide specialist guidance.
• Drive transformation and process improvements across the claims function.
• Collaborate with underwriting, liability, attritional claims and other units.
• Coach, mentor and develop team; manage recruitment and audits.
• Influence product, service and process changes in response to strategy and legislation.
