Job summary

MetLife Australia is seeking a Senior Manager, Group Claims to lead the delivery of exceptional claims outcomes for a Group Insurance client. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to a team of claims professionals, ensuring fair, efficient and policy‑compliant decisions while managing risk and stakeholder engagement.

You will drive governance, customer outcomes and continuous improvement, leveraging digital tools and AI responsibly within policy standards to enhance productivity

Qualifications

• Extensive life/ group insurance or claims management experience.
• Proven leadership of large operational teams in complex environments.
• Experience handling complex, high‑value or sensitive claims matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience leading change and business improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of risk governance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Group Claims services for a key client.
• Ensure fair, timely, policy‑aligned claim decisions.
• Oversee complex, high‑risk claims matters with oversight of governance.
• Drive service quality and customer outcomes across the unit.
• Foster a high‑performance, inclusive team culture with development plans.
