Job summary

Pantoro Limited is seeking experienced Senior Planning Engineers to shape its long-term mining strategy at the West Perth Corporate Office, with regular travel to Norseman operations. You will lead strategic mine planning, lifecycle optimisation and evaluate future mining opportunities, combining high-level planning with site engagement.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in mining engineering, Deswik proficiency, and strong Excel modelling.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience in mining engineering including site-based production and mine planning.
• Experience in long-term mine planning and optimization of life-of-mine schedules.
• Advanced proficiency with Deswik for mine design and scheduling.
• Advanced Excel skills with analytical modelling and option studies.
• Ventilation modelling experience using Ventsim and primary fan selection.
• Strong understanding of mining methods, constraints and commercial drivers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and long-term mine planning and life-of-mine optimisation.
• Evaluate future mining opportunities and multiple planning scenarios.
• Develop mine designs, schedules, forecasts and budgets using Deswik.
• Perform technical and financial trade-off analyses to improve productivity and value.
• Conduct ventilation modelling and primary fan selection via Ventsim.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure practical, current LOM plans.
• Identify and implement best practices and innovative mining solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and implementation strategies for site teams.
• Provide planning support and relief coverage for Senior Mining Engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of mine planning systems and reporting.
