Senior Resource Geologist - Lead Gold Resource Modelling

Job summary

Pantoro Limited in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Principal Resource Geologist to lead and advance Mineral Resource estimation across our growing gold portfolio, including Norseman and West Perth assets.

You will drive technical standards, mentor geologists and collaborate with exploration, mine planning and operations to deliver robust, compliant resource models under JORC guidelines, while advancing estimation methodologies and technology.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Geology or Geoscience, with geostatistics training highly regarded.
• Extensive Mineral Resource estimation and modelling experience at senior consultant or corporate level.
• Experience managing multiple deposits and resource models, preferably in gold.
• Advanced proficiency in Datamine Studio RM and related workflows.
• Strong geostatistical capability with Isatis Neo/Py and Supervisor.
• Good knowledge of JORC Code, classification and reporting responsibilities.
• Proven ability to develop standards, procedures and QA processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication with cross-team influence.
• Mentoring and leadership in technical teams.
• Proactive, innovative approach to complex geological challenges.
• Experience with Python scripting, Leapfrog Geo, and other estimation tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Mineral Resource estimation, modelling, validation and reporting.
• Manage and maintain multiple resource models for consistency and accuracy.
• Apply advanced geostatistical techniques to optimise resource outcomes.
• Evaluate and implement new estimation methodologies and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with the JORC Code and reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance on Competent Person responsibilities and resource classification.
• Develop and improve resource estimation procedures and QA processes.
• Collaborate with site geology, exploration and mine planning teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows and technology.
• Provide mentoring to resource and operational geology personnel.
• Build relationships across corporate and site teams to promote technical excellence.
• Contribute to long-term resource development strategies and reviews.
