Job summary

RACV is seeking an experienced Media & Communications Manager to lead our Queensland communications. You’ll craft proactive storytelling, build media relationships, and advise senior leaders on reputational risk and messaging.

This role focuses on RACV Royal Pines, Noosa Resort, and redevelopment projects, while collaborating with national teams to ensure clear, credible communications across earned and owned channels.

Qualifications

• Seasoned communications professional with strategic thinking and media expertise.
• Experience advising senior leaders and stakeholders on messaging and reputation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in Queensland while collaborating with a national team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an integrated communications plan for Queensland activities.
• Advise senior leaders on messaging, timing, and reputation risks.
• Support redevelopment news for RACV Royal Pines and Noosa resorts with statements and Q&As.
• Monitor media sentiment and advise on issues and opportunities.
• Drive proactive PR and earned media for RACV resorts and energy initiatives.
• Build relationships with Queensland travel, lifestyle, business, and media outlets.
• Collaborate with Travel & Leisure, Brand, Marketing, Content and Social teams for consistent messaging.
• Engage with local government and industry bodies on Queensland communications.
• Prepare holding statements, key messages, and spokesperson briefs for interviews.
• Contribute to enterprise campaigns and national announcements.
