Strathfield Council is seeking an experienced Manager, Library & Community Services in Sydney. You will lead library, community development and cultural services, guiding a multidisciplinary team and shaping service delivery to meet a growing, diverse community.

You will drive strategic plans, manage budgets, and promote continuous improvement while upholding the council values and governance standards.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated leadership in library and community services.
• Experience managing budgets and financial planning.
• Strong strategic planning and change management capabilities.
• Knowledge of NSW local government policies and governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Current NSW Class C Driver’s licence.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic leadership across Library & Community Services aligned to council priorities.
• Lead multidisciplinary team and foster high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee library services, community development, multicultural events and engagement programs.
• Develop and implement strategic and operational plans, policies and procedures.
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing and resources; monitor performance.
• Lead service improvements and implement change initiatives.
• Build relationships with senior management, agencies and community groups.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, governance, procurement and WHS; manage risks.
