Job summary

Mosman Council is seeking a Library Services Lead to head the Library Services team, delivering customer‑focussed services, programs and collections that support community needs.

The role requires a minimum of five years’ leadership in libraries or similar environments, with strong strategic planning, budgeting and governance capabilities. A valid Working with Children Check is required, and Mosman Council supports a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' leadership experience in a library or related environment.
• Demonstrated strategic planning and ability to deliver results.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, managing projects, budgets, risk and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Library Services team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services, programs and collections aligned with Council’s priorities and community needs.
• Be a key contributor to planning a new Library building and service model development.
• Drive development of library collections, technology and programs to meet current and emerging community needs.
• Promote and represent the Library Service through community engagement, partnerships and professional networks.
